Cello teachers wishing to improve their double bass teaching skills

This course is aimed at cello teachers wishing to sharpen their appreciation of the differences between teaching the cello and the bass in order that they may deliver truly effective lessons geared specifically for the double bass. The course will consist of an intensive interactive workshop structure and will include sessions on:

• Ensemble playing
• The concept of the semitone
• Double bass repertoire
• Generating volume
• German v French
• Double bass idiom
• The double bass as an athletic pursuit
